Grenoble-Alpes Métropole has entrusted NACARAT Color Design with the development of a new color plan as part of the renovation of the Arlequin housing complex in the Villeneuve district of Grenoble. The Cité de l’Arlequin, a complex of over 1,000 housing units and officially recognized as 20th Century Heritage, stands as a symbolic example of a pivotal era in the history of social housing during the 1960s and 1970s. Beyond the aesthetic and urban challenges of our mission, which aims to use color to restore cohesion within the urban fabric and help the Arlequin reclaim its former vibrancy, lies a broader ambition for the neighborhood: to « renovate the utopia » by first and foremost contributing to a high quality of life for its residents.
