City of Grenoble
The gradual renewal of the city’s existing green spaces needed to incorporate the concept of differentiated management (at the time, Gilles Clément was the city’s consulting landscape architect). The city’s floral design was thus intended to play a full role in enhancing its public spaces. The goal was to move away from isolated planting bed designs and toward a more integrated approach, one that considered the public space in its entirety.

The goal of the project was to define a general theme for the bloom, then conduct a thorough analysis of the surroundings of the various bloom sites (around 370 flower beds and 1130 planters) in order to make color recommendations, in addition to shapes and heights for the floral designs.
