City of Quetigny
Nacarat works with the City of Quetigny, a French commune near Dijon in the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region, since 2013.
Customer: City of Quetigny
Construction year: Since 2013

Our missions:

  • Creation of a chromatic master plan in 2013.
  • Colorist-plastician advising on rehabilitations and new projects from 2013 to 2021.
  • Creation of a colors and materials charter for the “Cœur de Quartier” ZAC.

Designing a creative and innovative approach to the treatment of color in the city to showcase heritage while offering modern and evolving responses is the fundamental challenge of the Color / Architecture / Urbanism mission of Quetigny.

Several other questions are essential such as the combination of the materiality of the color with the technical characteristics of thermal insulation from the outside materials. The aim is to offer viable prescriptions, respectful of the existing, lasting and economically feasible.  The proposal of chromatic treatment concepts but also architectural features makes it possible to sign the rehabilitations, the new writing of which will permanently characterize the city, making it ever more attractive.

The new town of Quetigny, with the multitude of meanings that this term can carry, is to be considered as a town in renewal.

We question it by taking into account the strength of its past identity and the greatness of its potential for the future.

A COLOR PALETTE AT THE SERVICE OF RENEWAL

Edgar Pisani said “an adventure is taking place here, of which soon, perhaps, of which soon, no doubt, of which soon, necessarily, the image will have to be reproduced everywhere in France. “

Quetigny is a place apart, an example to follow, a heritage to preserve.

Quetigny is also an architectural ensemble that seeks to stand out and position itself as a place of architectural and chromatic experience. This is how we support the project, with great respect for the past and real confidence in the future.
